Frederick J. Breme, Ph.D, LLC
Licensed Psychologist and Clinical Hypnotherapist
Dr. Breme received his BA in Psychology and his M.Ed. in College Counseling from the University of Delaware in 1967 and 1970 respectively. He received his PhD in Counseling Psychology (Approved by the American Psychological Association) from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1975.
Since receiving his degree, Dr. Breme has worked as a faculty member and psychologist at the University of Missouri and the University of Georgia. He practiced as a psychologist at the Counseling and Testing Center at the University of Georgia until 1988, when he began a full time private practice.
Dr. Breme is an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Child and Family Development at the University of Georgia and offers workshops nationally on various topics related to Counseling Psychology. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Georgia Psychological Association, and the Athens Area Psychological Association. Dr. Breme is Certified by the College of Professional Psychology of the American Psychological Association in the Treatment of Substance Use Disorders. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis and is Certified by that organization in Clinical Hypnosis and as an Approved Consultant. He is also a member of the Georgia Hypnosis Society.
